چکیده
The present study was undertaken to investigate the exopolysaccharide (EPS) producing bacteria from Sundarbans Mangrove Forest (SMF) soil of Bangladesh. pH and aerobic heterotrophic bacterial counts samples ranged 5.83 7.77 0.87 × 107 7.2 cfu/g, respectively. Potential 18 EPS isolates were selected for detailed among which 15 provisionally identified as members genus Bacillus, 2 recognized Dinococcus sp. another one Micrococcus Bacillus includes 7 distinct species viz. B. stearothermophilus, subtilis, brevis, marinus, schlegelli, pumilus globisporous. highest production found in LB medium. pHs 6.5-7.5, 0% salinity, 37°C temperature be optimum better growth bacteria. three i.e. pumilus, globisporus strearothermophilus further confirmed through 16S rDNA sequence analysis. culture sensitivity (C/S) test results revealed streptomycin (S 10) most effective antibiotic control tested isolates. متن کاملIsolation and characterization of exopolysaccharide from biofilm producing marine bacteria
Marine bacterial exopolysaccharides are fascinating industrial uses and presence of bioactive compounds. In this present study , Exopolysaccharide producing Micrococcus sp isolated from Arabian Sea and was identified by morphological and biochemical characteristics. متن کاملAggregation by depletion attraction in cultures of bacteria producing exopolysaccharide.
In bacteria, the production of exopolysaccharides--polysaccharides secreted by the cells into their growth medium--is integral to the formation of aggregates and biofilms. These exopolysaccharides often form part of a matrix that holds the cells together. Investigating the bacterium Sinorhizobium meliloti, we found that a mutant that overproduces the exopolysaccharide succinoglycan showed enhan...
متن کاملIsolation of antibacterial material-producing bacteria from saline soil
Saline soils are widely spread in Iran. These intact soils are a great source for the isolation of new bacteria with highly functional metabolites in biotechnology. Actinomycete strains were isolated on starch casein agar and ISP2 with different concentrations of sodium chloride (0, 5 and 10%) from treated soil samples. Pure colonies were cultured on a casein glycerol medium. After complete gro...
